Trucked Waste Program
 

Commercial sewage haulers are welcome to discharge their wastes at the West County Wastewater District treatment plant. The plant is conveniently located off the Richmond Parkway at 2377 Garden Tract Road, Richmond.

The programs hours are weekdays from 5 am - 5 pm and weekends from 7 am - 3 pm.

Guidelines for Acceptance of Hauled Wastes
Persons desiring to utilize this program should be aware of the following:

What waste will be accepted?
The District will accept wastes from the following sources: portable toilets, and residential septic tanks.

Can wastes from outside the District boundaries be accepted?
Yes.

Do I need a permit?
Yes, all trucked waste discharge must have a permit on file prior to discharge. Please complete the credit and permit applications and mail back to the District along with annual permit fee to: 2910 Hilltop Drive, Richmond, CA 94806

How much does it cost?
Commercial Haulers:
Annual Permit Fee $250
Residential Septage Fee $.10 per gallon, based on truck capacity
Portable Toilet Fee $.08 per gallon, based on truck capacity
     

Are there any restrictions on what can be discharge?
Yes, there are specific limitations. Refer to the District's Ordinance Regulating Nondomestic Waste Discharge for specific restrictions.


What else should I know?
If, in the opinion of the Operator on duty, a load does not meet discharge requirements, he or she may refuse to allow the discharge.
