Where: Wildcat Canyon Regional Park, Camp Buckeye at 575 McBryde Avenue in Richmond, CA 94805
When: Sunday, April 13, from 10:00 a.m. to Noon, please plan to arrive at 9:45 a.m. to allow for time to park
Parking: Please carpool if you can and park at the Alvarado Staging Area, which is just a way up from the main park entrance- look for signage and do not leave any valuables in your car.
Day-of-Schedule:
9:50 a.m. – Arrive at the parking lot at Alvarado Staging area and walk down to Camp Buckeye
10:15 a.m. – join the kick-off talk and safety briefing at the site; collect buckets, gloves, and other supplies
10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – Community cleanup. Return to starting point by 11:45 a.m.
11:45 – 12:00 p.m.- Wrap-up, photo, and snacks
What to bring:
- Old clothing (that you don’t mind getting dirty!)
- Sturdy shoes that can get wet and muddy
- An extra layer
- Hat and sunglasses
- Sunscreen
- Water Bottle/Reusable cup
What will be provided:
- Gloves
- Trash buckets and bags
- First Aid Kit
- Hand sanitizer
- Water and snacks
Rain Policy: If the forecast changes to heavy rain, we will contact you via email by noon on Friday, April 11, to notify you that the Clean Up has been canceled.
Waivers: All participants will be asked to complete a liability waiver when you arrive on site. IF YOU ARE UNER 18 y/o, a parent or guardian needs to sign the waiver, so please don’t let them drop you off and leave before you get their signature! Download, sign, and bring THIS WAIVER to the event!
