West County Wastewater joined Nextdoor this month as a public agency, a role that allows us to provide residents in our service area with resources and information that is relevant to their neighborhood and wastewater service.

West County Wastewater’s ability to directly connect with the community is more important than ever, as we all face the global COVID-19 crisis together. Social media platforms like Nextdoor are crucial to sharing updates regarding the outbreak and how to access wastewater services amid the pandemic.

Our first Nextdoor post featured a congrats to all 2020 graduates! Posts will expand to include information about overflows, how to report emergencies, reminders about what is safe to flush or put down the pipe, and more. Contributing to this local online community of 19,300 members helps ensure we can deliver information directly to the residents who receive our services.
