Each March, Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day (March 8) celebrate the extraordinary achievements and struggles of women and raise awareness of ongoing bias and the need for continued action toward equality.

Traditionally, Women’s History Month recognizes the role of women in shaping U.S. history and honors those who forged pathways for fairness and success. This year, West County Wastewater (WCW) encourages its employees and the community to “Choose to Challenge,” along with people around the world, in honor of the ongoing fight for women’s rights. The “Choose to Challenge” campaign, created for International Women’s Day, encourages people to speak out against gender bias and inequality.
