Whether it is working together to reduce environmental pollution, protect our Bay, expand recycled water or maintain infrastructure for reliable wastewater service, WCW is devoted to thoughtful, inspirational leadership and integrated collaboration. Our priority is to support a growing community, protecting regional public health and our natural surroundings now and into the future.
A key part of our five-year Strategic Plan, WCW remains dedicated to strengthening collaborative efforts, including cultivating new opportunities for ongoing regional success.

- Under a long-standing agreement with EBMUD, WCW sends most of its treated wastewater to be used as recycled water for industrial heating and cooling purposes, an agreement that saves valuable drinking water and protects the environment.

WEST COUNTY AGENCY
West County Agency is a joint powers authority between the City of Richmond Municipal Sewer District and West County Wastewater. Formed in 1977, West County Agency was established to provide more efficient disposal of wastewater in each jurisdiction, including maintaining sewage and sludge disposal facilities.
WEST COUNTY AGENCY MEETINGS
The West County Agency Board of Directors meets once a year, on the third Thursday of June at 9 a.m. Special, emergency and other meetings of the Board may be scheduled as needed. Meetings take place at West County Wastewater’s main office, located at 2910 Hilltop Drive, Richmond, CA 94806. Agendas and minutes of previous meetings are available below.
