West County Wastewater (WCW) protects public health and our natural surroundings by safely and responsibly collecting, treating and disposing of wastewater. We are devoted to the community we serve and the environment in which we live, working tirelessly to keep both healthy and safe. Our team is dedicated to service, innovation, collaboration and sustainability.

We serve approximately 34,000 residences and 2,450 commercial and industrial businesses, with a total population of approximately 100,000 in the following areas:

City of San Pablo

Tara Hills

Richmond
(northern subdivisions)

East Richmond Heights

City of Pinole
(designated sectors)

El Sobrante Rollingwood Bayview

Founded in December 1921 to protect and serve the public health of the community through the construction and maintenance of a sewer system.

Service area covers 16.9 square miles.

Operation includes sewage collection, treatment and disposal.

Collaborates with a variety of local agencies and neighboring communities, as well as participates in the West County Agency, a joint powers authority, for the purpose of maintaining sewage and sludge disposal facilities.
